Bead & Button Show in Milwaukee
This year I participated in the "Trash To Treasure" Show at the Indiana Welcome and Convention Center in Hammond, IN. This is the shows 8th year and my first stab at it. A lot of very cool stuff is on display. All entries are made from recycled items and what a lot of folks would call just plain old junk. There are certainly a lot of creative minds out there! The show is held from Memorial Day through July. It's worth a visit especially if you live close by.
My "Junk Necklace" is made up of old scrabble game tiles that I soldered, a domino, old wooden nickel, buffalo nickel, agate slice, dice, puzzle pieces, a souvenir spoon, clock keys, a typewriter key, an asian coin, wire ball, a mercury dime and a vintage swarovski crystal.
It was fun putting it all together AND there was nothing else like it there.
This is a section of my booth display on a beautiful sunny day.
Sadly, I couldn't get a clearer photo.
